In the presence of HRH The Princess Royal and supported by some of the finest chefs in the UK, the re-launch of the Scotch Beef Club has been officially marked by Quality Meat Scotland with a gala dinner at the Great Hall, Edinburgh Castle (Monday 5th April, 2004).
In her role as President of the Scotch Beef Club, HRH The Princess Royal was guest of honour at the QMS event. Chefs from Scotch Beef Club restaurants including Brian Turner Mayfair and The Three Chimneys in the Isle of Skye, were joined at the dinner by representatives from all sectors of the Scottish red meat industry.
The Scotch Beef Club is unashamedly based on quality. Restaurants who are accepted as members of this exclusive club will promote Scotch Beef clearly and unambiguously on their menus, sending out a positive message about the integrity of Scotch Beef to discerning customers all over the world.
In order to be accepted, applicants have to demonstrate the ability to clearly identify the beef they purchase and a commitment and co-operation with their suppliers to have the required information available on request.
